She lived in the Frozen North with her mother working in the mimes until her mother died of an illness and was then taken by some scientists make into a weapon in-case if Celestia's plan to stop Nightmare Moon failed she was then tortured to the point she was a killing machine with zero empathy and given the power of ice.(Celestia did not know about this.)
They trained her into a soldier to control her powers and to obey every command of the princesses this backfired on them she broke free of there control and terminated them and then destroyed the facility she then wondering in the snow and listing to the last words her mother said to her.
She told her that she had an older half sister living in equestria where she was let near to a village filled with earth ponies and told Mono that she loved candance more than her even through she abandoned her as a foal in the woods.
She later joined the wonderbolts when she was a pre teen she befriend Soarin,Fleetfoot and Spitfire while at the academy.

She had a closebond with Spitfire after the four of them graduated from the academy and became wonderbolts Monochrome became the second in command of the wonderbolts but then she betrayed them after killing the captain of the wonderbolts (before spitfire).

They asked her if their bond with them was a lie she told them it was.She fled to the distance after her battle with Fleetfoot,Soarin and Spitfire.


She then meet Daybreak,Bitter,Havoc,Lack Luster,Moonlight and Dante later.She asked their leader Daybreak if she could join their team dispite Bitter's protest and their encounter with each other in the past she accepts the offer Monochrome is sixth to join the group unknowing to them she plans to betray the group after the conquer equestria.
